Mavis Amundson
Best selling author of historical books about Washington state's beautiful Olympic Peninsula
Mavis Amundson grew up in Seattle, graduated from the University of Washington and embarked on a career in communications and journalism. She has worked as a writer, newspaper reporter and editor in Seattle; Washington, D.C.; Oregon; and Washington’s Olympic Peninsula. Mavis lived and worked on the Olympic Peninsula from 1987 to 1992.
It was particularly memorable time for her. She has been a fan of the peninsula and its people ever since. She lives in Bellevue, a Seattle suburb, with her husband George Erb, and can be reached at mavisja@seanet.com.
